Model and actor Bae Jung-nam havs been selected as an honorary ambassador of Busan.
In April, the Busan Metropolitan City government held an event to select honorary ambassadors of Busan who can best promote the city based on citizens’ recommendations. Busan citizens selected Bae Jung-nam as one of the city’s honorary ambassador.
“I was so pleased to hear that I’ve been selected as an honorary ambassador of Busan, my hometown I always miss. I’m so honored and grateful to Busan citizens for selecting me,” said Bae Jung-nam. “I will do my best to promote Busan’s beauty.”
The Busan mayor will present the appointment plaque to Bae Jung-nam at the appointment ceremony to be held on June 20.
An honorary ambassador is an unpaid position, and Bae Jung-nam will participate in public interest activities for citizens, promotion of the city’s major policies and talent donation.
Bae Jung-nam has been loved in TV shows such as “My Little Old Boy (SBS)” and “Korean Hostel in Spain (tvN)” and will exude his charm in the movie “Okay! Madam,” which will be released later this year.
The honorary ambassador appointment ceremony will be held in the lobby (1st fl.) of Busan City Hall on June 20, 10 a.m.
