Girl group I.O.I is to have an onstage reunion as 9 members.

On June 12th, Sports Dong-A reported that “I.O.I members have finally decided to have a reunion” based on what the insiders of I.O.I members’ agencies and the music industry said.

According to the media coverage, I.O.I has decided to have a reunion onstage as a 9-member group including Kim Se-jeong, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Chung-ha, Kim So-hye, Zhou Jieqiong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Kang Mi-na, and Lim Na-young but without Jeon So-mi and Yoo Yeon-jung from a 11-member group. So-mi declined to join as she made her debut today (13th) with a solo album release and Yoo Yeon-jung has decided to rather focus on Cosmic Girls activities.

The press reported that I.O.I members’ agencies have had a lengthy discussion on their reunion since early this year and that they have finally decided on it due to the strong fandom and the members’ determination for reunion.

However, one of I.O.I members’ agency insiders told Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today that “We’ve been discussing this for a long time but nothing has yet to be decided.”
