Hyeri, from a former Girl’s Day, apologized for the controversy that erupted when she promoted a shopping mall run by her biological sister on the air.

Hyeri’s agency, Creative Group ING, posted on its official SNS. “We apologize for Hyeri’s remarks on ‘Amazing Saturday-Doremi Market,’ which aired on 6th July.”

Also they say “She did it for the fun of the show, but she didn’t think it could cause controversy and inconvenience. she will recognize and reflect on this and act more carefully to prevent the same thing from happening again,”

“We apologize again to those who have been inconvenienced by this, even if it is unintentional,” they added.

Hyeri earlier mentioned the name of the shopping mall her sister is running on the tvN entertainment show “Amazing Saturday – Doremi Market,” which aired on 6th July, and went on to promote herself with a piece of paper with her younger sister’s shopping mall name on it while receiving a solo shot of the camera to match the lyrics of the song.

The production team mosaic the last letter of the shopping mall’s name, but since the broadcast, the name of the shopping mall operated by Hyeri’s younger sister has been at the center of the talk. Criticism ensued over her sister’s outspoken promotion of a shopping mall that had nothing to do with broadcasting, using her position as a celebrity.

In the end, Hyeri made an official apology to quell the situation.
