Singer Kang Daniel will make his first public appearance in six months.
Kang Daniel will appear on the ground at Sajik Stadium in Busan at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. On the same day, Kang will take the mound as a starter in the pro baseball after a ceremony to appoint a goodwill ambassador for the Busan city government.
On the same day, Kang will receive a letter of appointment as a goodwill ambassador from Busan Mayor Oh Keo-don.
It will also host the ceremonial first pitch for the “2019 Shinhan Bank Micah KBO League” Lotte Giants and the NC Dinos.
Earlier in April, the Busan city government held an event to recommend citizens for the “Public Relations Ambassador to Busan,” which can best publicize Busan’s attractiveness and selected Kang Daniel as its goodwill ambassador. The entire process of the appointment ceremony will be broadcast live on the official SNS (Facebook, YouTube) of Busan City and the official SNS of Busan Tourism Organization.
Kang’s official appearance is drawing attention as it has been about six months since the last concert by the project group Wanna One in late January. In early March, more than two months after Wanna One’s dissolution, Kang Daniel filed for an injunction against LM Entertainment to suspend its exclusive contract and has not appeared in an official position.
Kang Daniel recently established his one-man agency, Connect Entertainment and is preparing for his solo debut. Kei Lim, CEO of the production label Divine Channel, which has produced a number of hit songs for k pop idols, recently finished recording as the main producer and is preparing for a comeback, including choreography.
