EXO Sehun & Chanyeol (EXO-SC) expressed their feelings about holding EXO concerts without Xiumin and D.O.

A showcase to mark the release of Sehun & Chanyeol’s first mini-album “What a Life” was held at Muv Hall in Seogyo-dong, Seoul on 22th afternoon.

EXO has been holding its fifth solo concert in six episodes since the last 19th. The concert featured six members of Suho, Kai, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol and Sehun without Xiumin and D.O, who are serving in the military.

In response, Chanyeol said, “There were two members in the army for a while, and we felt a lot of empty seats. But at this concert, there was a desire to show as much or more energy as there were all eight members.

He added, “I think I was lonely internally. Especially in my case, D.O was always next to me. So I wanted to see him because he wasn’t there right next to me, and I thought about what it would be like if we’d all done this together.”

But when I see my smartphone after the concert, Minseok (Xiumin) asked me “how was your day?”, “Did you do well?”. Just by telling them like that, I thought we were together internally,” he added.

Sehun said, “The absence of the two members made me feel empty and sad. So we talked about “let’s do the share of the two members.” “We’ve played the concert three times, and I think we’ve done it well including the share of the two members, and I think you’ve felt that way.”

The members also reported their reaction to the unit album. Sehun said, “There was no jilting. They just told us “Music is good”, “let’s do your best”.” And he added “When I saw them cheering from behind, I thought my members are the best”

Sehun & Chanyeol is EXO’s second unit to come up with after EXO-CBX (Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin). The album features a total of six songs from various hip-hop genres, including the triple title track “What a Life,” “Just us 2” and “Closer to you,” as well as “선,” “RollerCoaster” and ” 夢.” While the dynamic duo’s Gaeko and Divine Channel were in charge of producing all the songs, Sehun & Chanyeol not only participated in writing all the songs but also included self-produced songs.

Sehun & Chanyeol will hold a showcase at the same venue at 8 p.m. on 22nd July to mark the release of their debut album. The site will be broadcast live worldwide via Naver V Live EXO channel.
