Boy group BTS leader RM (real name Kim Nam-joon, 25) donated 100 million won (around $83,743.50 USD) to a special school.
Hearing Impaired Special School Seoul Samsung School announced on the 20th that RM donated 100 million won to the school on the 16th to commemorate his birthday (September 12).
A school official said, “RM hoped that the students who had difficulty listening could enjoy music together in various ways, and gifted a donation.”
Seoul Samsung School, which the RM donated, is a special education institution for hearing impaired people under Seoul Social Welfare Corporation, which teaches deaf children from kindergarten to high school. More than 120 students are currently enrolled.
Meanwhile, BTS will hold a concert “Love Your Self: Speak Your Self” on October 11th in Saudi Arabia.
