The record that BTS is writing in the global music market has become a “history” of popular music in itself without giving any meaning. It is noteworthy what the world music community is saying about their amazing achievements.

The closest upcoming award is the American Music Awards, which will be held at the Microsoft venue in Los Angeles on November 2th. BTS was nominated for the three awards including Favorite Duo/Group, Tour of the Year and Favorite Social Artist in Pop & Rock genre.

Even if BTS didn’t win more awards, the nomination itself is already a historic achievement. BTS, which announced in April this year’s “MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA,” held a long run, holding charts for 26 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

In addition, the company has sold more than 136 billion won in LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF, which has been held 20 times in 10 cities around the world for six months since May. They also took second place in the monthly “Hot Tours” rankings announced by Billboard on August 16, showing off the star of the World Star.

BTS’ social popularity is hard to beat. On the 19th, they ranked first in 123 consecutive weeks and 153th in the Social 50 chart.

This is a predictable grade for those who won the Favorite Social Artist Award last year.

BTS will leave the Grammy Challenge as ‘In Progress’ without being included in the recently announced 62nd Grammy Awards nomination. However, the local music industry’s reaction to their Grammy nominations is also overwhelming. In particular, American music media, Rolling Stone, and pop star Halsey, publicly commented that “Grammy is behind the times.”

Amid this atmosphere, attention is focused on whether BTS will reiterate again at this year’s American Music Awards.
