BTS’ microphones head to US charity auction “Seven signed microphone, highly collectable”

A so-called ‘BTS Mike’ with the autograph of seven BTS members will appear in the US charity auction.

On July 27 (local time), according to Reuters, Julien’s Auction, a US auctioneer, announced “The microphones which were used from 2017-2019 on the ‘Love Yourself’ tour, are put up for an auction next month during Grammy Awards week.”

This is the first time K-POP band BTS’ goods have been auctioned. Seven signed microphones used by the seven members are expected to sell for $10,000 to $20,000 as a group at an auction.

Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien’s Auctions said, “If you own something like this, signed by each member, that’s highly collectible and in years to come will very likely to appreciate in value.”

The auction will take place two days before the Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Jan. 26. In addition to BTS microphones, guitars with signatures of famous singers such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Dave Groll are also on display.
