Bong Joon-ho’s “Parasite” made Golden Globes history as first Korean film winner.
The movie ‘Parasite’ won Best Foreign Language Award at the 77th Golden Globes Awards (hereafter Golden Globes) held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, USA on the morning of January 6. However, the screenplay award went to Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ and the director award to Sam Mendes of ‘1917’.
As a result, Bong Joon-ho proved his virtuosity as ‘Parasite’, demonstrating the strength of Korean films worldwide.
The new legend has already begun, and expectations for Oscars will be raised.
Golden Globes, meanwhile, is an awards ceremony hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), and the annual ceremony is recognizing excellence in film, both American and International, and the American television. In addition to the Academy Awards, it is one of the two best US film awards, and is also called the Outpost to expect the results of the Academy Awards held in February.
In Korea, the recording is broadcast from OCN from 9 pm on the day.
