Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Snowpiercer’ will come back as an American television drama in May

Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Snowpiercer’ will be released in an American television drama.

On the 16th, CJ ENM announced that the drama version of the film ‘Snowpiercer’ will be aired in the United States.

The film ‘Snowpiercer’ is a story about people riding on an endless track. Prepared for the hungry man’s baggy slums in the rear tail car and the upper class enjoys a luxurious life at the head car.

The world outside the train portrays the problem of rich and poor, which individuals can never get out of by describing it as a snow country that freezes everything. Bong Joon-ho received a reputation for capturing the riots that led to the uprising of young leader Curtis. Bong’s first global project, which casts many international actors such as Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton, attracted 935 million viewers in Korea. Starring Jennifer Connelly and David Diggs, it was made with the original series of Warner Media cable channel TNT, and director Bong and Park Chan-wook also participate in the production.

 The drama will be aired from May 31st.

The television adaptation of the film was originally planned in 2015. The re-ignition of the long drifting project is also linked to ‘Parasite’ fever in the United States. After the parasite won the Golden Globe Foreign Language Awards and nominated in six academies, the interest in the snow country dramas increased.
