Hong Sang-soo & Kim Min-hee’s latest film ‘The Woman Who Ran’ invited to compete at Berlin International Film Festival

Hong Sang-soo’s 24th feature film, ‘The Woman Who Ran’, was officially invited to compete at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival.

On the 29th, the Berlin International Film Festival held a press conference and announced a list of the competition section of the 70th film festival, Hong Sang-soo’s latestes film has been nominated to compete at the film festival.

Director Hong Sang-soo will visit Berlin Film Festival in two years after Hong’s 22nd movie ‘Grass’ being invited to the forum section in 2018. Earlier in 2017, ‘On the Beach at Night’ was invited to the competition, giving Kim Min-hee the Best Actress Award, Silver Bear.

‘The Woman Who Ran’ is a story of three women, starring his muse Kim Min-hee. This film was known as the work that Hong chosed after the ‘Hotel by the River’. In addition to Kim Min-hee, he was accompanied by actors Song Sun-mi, Seo Youngwha, Kim Sae-byuk, Lee Eun-mi, Kwon Haeyo, and Shin Seok-ho who had worked together in previous works.

Hong Sang-soo met with the local audience with his lover Kim Min-hee when ‘Right Now, Wrong Then’, and ‘Grass’ were invited to the Berlin Film Festival. The actress will be accompanied by this time. In Korea, you can watch the film this spring.

The 70th Berlin International Film Festival is scheduled to opens on 20 February.
