The former member of the group BIGBANG (real name Lee Seung-hyun, 30) enlisted quietly on March 9.
Seungri entered the Army’s 6th infantry recruit training center in Cherwon, Gangwon-do at 1:30 pm on the same day. He came in the form of a drive-through, in line with the Army’s policy to prevent the spread of new coronavirus.
Seungri did not respond to any of the questions about enlistment and ‘Burning Sun Gate’ and more.
It was Seungri that as a member of idol group in the past, but there was no plan card hanging on the entrance site. Considering the geographical difficulty of Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, and the situation of COVID-19, it was quieter than any star enlisted.
Seungri was originally scheduled to enlist as an active duty soldier on March last year, but his enlistment was postponed in order for him to participate in the ongoing police investigations on ‘Burning Sun Gate.’
Seungri will take about 18 months of military service to the active duty of the Army after receiving basic military training at infantry recruit training camp.
Meanwhile, Seungri was prosecuted in January due to violations of the habitual gambling, foreign exchange transaction law and prostitution punishment law. Seungri as a defendant, will be tried at military court.
