Megabox carries a campaign that prioritizes customers’ safety in the aftermath of COVID-19(a new type of coronavirus infection).
LifeTheater Megabox said on March 19, “The first movie theater industry has been launching a “keep distancing plus safety” campaign since March 16.”
The campaign was prepared to help control the spread of respiratory illnesses and to relieve the anxiety of customers visiting the cinema. It is operated to secure a safe distance between seats when watching movies by restricting the number of seats reserved for odd rows.
However, seats for the disabled (priority seats) can be reserved regardless of this.
The campaign will be held at Megabox nationwide branches, including member companies that have indicated their willingness to participate.
In order to prevent customers from becoming infected with COVID-19, Megabox not only provides extensive preventive measures in theaters and lobby, but also thoroughly guides safety rules such as wearing a facemask and using hand sanitizer when entering the theater. All employees are required to wear masks at all branches, and in order to reduce customer contact points, the business hours are shortened and some branches are temporarily closed.
A representative of Megabox said, “We have prepared a “Keep Distancing Plus Safety” to provide a safer viewing environment for our customers. We will do our best to protect customer safety in the future. ”
