Actor Kim Nam-gil joins Han Jae-rim’s new work ‘Emergency Declaration’.

One media reported on 30 March that Kim Nam-gil would be joining the ‘Emergency Declaration’ and be adjusting details.

‘Emergency Declaration’ is a film based on an aviation disaster, is directed by Han Jae-rim of ‘The King’. This upcoming movie is a Korean-style disaster blockbuster with a production cost of over 20 billion won. Song Kang-ho and Lee Byung-hun were previously confirmed for the project and Jeon Do-yeon joined as a minister.

Meanwhile, ‘Emergency Declaration’, which was originally scheduled to be cranked in March, has been pushed back to May due to the aftermath of the coronavirus.

As of now, the filming was scheduled to start at the end of March, but the exact starting point has not been determined because the shooting was postponed due to various situations such as COVID-19.

As the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 has been prolonged, the number of theater audiences has drastically decreased, and the release of new works has been delayed. Of course, production schedules are also disrupted. The movies ‘Kidnapping’ and ‘Criminal City 2’, which were scheduled for overseas locations, are inevitably suffering from the indefinite delay of filming.
