Lee Yeon-hee grabbed a role in ‘The Shaman’

Actress Lee Yeon-hee will be starring in SF8’s project ‘The Shaman’.

‘SF8’ series is a crossover project of films and dramas produced by Soo films in collaboration with MBC, the Directors Guild of Korea(DKG), and OTT platform Wavve, and depicts the future where humans are dreaming of achieving a perfect society through technological development.

‘The Shaman’ in the ‘SF8’ series starring Lee Yeonhee depicts a society that is obsessed and devoted to ‘the shaman’, an artificial intelligence fortune-telling service with a high success rates. It is expected to create a genre full of excitement. The director Noh Duck has worked on the previous movies ‘The Exclusive: Beat the devil’s tattoo’ and ‘Very Ordinary Couple’.

Particularly, Lee Yeonhee plays the role of Sun-ho, a charismatic character who believes in her institutions and does things, she persistently pursues the reality of the artificial fortune-telling service ‘The Shaman’.

Lee Yeon-hee appeared in recently ended MBC drama ‘The Game: Towards zero’ as a detective and showed her extended acting spectrum. Therefore, her unusual appearance in this upcoming drama raises a lot of viewers’ attention, too.

‘SF8’, which has been generating a lot of buzz is a science fiction anthology series made by eight film directors. It will be released as a director’s cut through Wavve in July. The original version will be aired in two episodes over four weeks at MBC in August.
