BTS to give commencement speech at virtual graduation – Dear Class of 2020

Group BTS joins with former President Obama and Google CEO Sundar Pichai in online virtual graduation ceremony ‘Dear Class of 2020’.

BTS will participate in ‘Dear Class of 2020’, which will be held online through YouTube original on June 6th (US time). YouTube organized this virtual graduation ceremony to honor high school and college seniors and their families whose graduation ceremonies were canceled due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. This is the first time that YouTube is hosting a graduation-related event.

In the ‘Dear Class of 2020’, BTS, former US President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, singer Lady Gaga, civic activist Malala Yousafzai, former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and others will appear.

The K-pop artist was the only BTS to be listed on the invitation list.

In the ‘Dear Class of 2020’, BTS will deliver commencement speeches to this year’s graduates as a special speaker along with Obama, Sundar Pichai, and Lady Gaga. In addition, BTS and others will perform at a virtual grad night afterparty.

Additional commencement speakers include singer Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, actor Kerry Washington, singer Chloe x Halle, and Zendaya.
