Girl group TWICE will release a new album in Japan in July.

TWICE uploaded a video clip on its Japanese social media accounts last Tuesday and broke the news of the album release.

“We will release our sixth Japanese single ‘Fanfare’ on July 8. We can’t wait to see you again. We hope you stay in good health until then,” the members said in the video clip.

‘Fanfare’ is a song expressing TWICE’s small wish to bring a bright energy to everyone around the world, and features an energetic stage performance.

High attention is being paid to whether the new single ‘Fanfare’ will continue the history of TWICE’s megahits. Last month, TWICE earned platinum certificate in Japan, which is awarded for an album with over 250,000 sales in Japan.

Every song released by TWICE in Japan has been a sensational hit since their debut in 2017. ‘Wake Me Up’ is the first overseas female artist’s single album released in Japan, and has earned double platinum by recording cumulative sales of over 500,000 copies.

TWICE’s latest album ‘&TWICE’ also topped Oricon’s weekly albums, the group’s fifth album to do so, making TWICE the first foreign female act after Mariah Carey to achieve the feat in Japan.

Recently, TWICE unveiled four Japanese stage videos in the name of ‘with TWICE’ so that fans can have fun at home.

On the official YouTube channel of TWICE, the stage videos of the moments of the first showcase tour, arena tour, and dome tour were posted along with members’ commentary.

The videos are ranked in the top 10 popular Japanese videos, and they are attracting the attention of local fans.
