JYP releases statement on copyright infringement of TWICE’s MV ‘More & More’

JYP Entertainment’s agency announced its official statement addressing the claim that music video for TWICE’s ‘MORE & MORE’ infringed a copyright.

JYP Entertainment released the statement on the 3rd, “This morning, we became aware that one of the set pieces in the ‘MORE & MORE’ music video is similar to an existing piece of artwork.”

“We asked the music video production company and requested that they speak with the creator of the original artwork to resolve this situation. As the agency responsible for releasing the works of artists, we vow to supplement our verification process so that this does not happen again.”

Earlier on the 2nd, a formative artist David McCarty insisted on his SNS that “TWICE replicated my sculpture and used in the music video.” and “This is apparently a copyright infringement of art.”

Meanwhile, TWICE’s title song ‘MORE & MORE’ is a song that contains fluttering and sweetness when love matures.
