Upcoming film ‘Baseball Girl’ provides cheer-ups with fastball

‘Baseball Girl’ cheers up all the people who are running towards the dream.

The film ‘Baseball Girl’ (director Choi Yoon-tae) is the only girl in the high school baseball team and who can throw a 130km/hr fastball, depicting the growing drama of Joo Soo-in (Lee Joo-young). It is the invitation film of the 24th Busan International Film Festival and the 45th Seoul Independent Film Festival.

Soo-in, who is about to graduate, dreams of joining a professional team and continuing to play baseball.

But because of being a woman, she doesn’t even have a chance to get a good evaluation. Even a friend of mom, and director tells her to give up her dream. A new coach Jin-tae (Lee Joon-hyuk) appears, and changes occur.

The film tells the story of Joo Soo-in, who silently challenges for her dream, but delivers it in a straightforward manner. No one knows what the future will wait for, and the enthusiasm and sincerity of Joo Soo-in, who will not give up without trying it.

“Baseball Girl” who shouts “Way to go” toward all Joo Soo-ins in the world running toward their dreams shines with the actress Lee Joo-young’s passion. Lee Joo-young, who has shown her best acting so that no one else comes to mind, adds an immersion with her solid look.

Lee Joon-hyuk, who has gained weight and transformed into a baseball team coach, Jin-hyuk Lee, takes the role of a strong helper.

Joo Soo-in, who struggles to break through the walls of prejudice, may not have any sweet taste. However, she conveys her cheers and impresses everyone with her rough fastball. It will be released on June 18.
