The sequel film ‘The Pirates 2′(director Kim Jung-hoon) completed the studded lineup.
‘The Pirates: Goblin Flag’ is a comic action adventure that depicts the thrilling and delightful story of those who flocked to the sea to occupy the last treasure of the Goryeo royal family, which has disappeared without a trace since the founding of Joseon.
Korea’s only historical drama action adventure ‘The Pirates 2’, featuring a story of fresh ideas, a character group full of charm, and spectacle highlights spreading out over the sea, completes a young and renewed powerful cast and start filming.
Kang Haneul has established himself as a major actor in the real world through the movies ‘Dongju: The Portrait of A Poet’, ‘Midnight Runners’, ‘Forgotten’, and the recent drama ‘When Camellia Blooms’. Woo Moochi (Kang Haneul) was once a leader of a group of bandits, but he now stays on a pirated ship with his right-hand man Kang-seob. Hae-rang(Kang Hyo-joo) is the leader of pirates on the pirate ship. She has Mak-yi (Lee Kwang-soo), So-nyeo(Chae Soo-bin) and Hang-Goong(Sehun) and Akwi(Park Ji-hwan)
Lee Kwang-soo will play Mak-yi, a pirate who prefers to work on his own, and Kwon Sang-woo will be Boo Heung-soo, who fights against the pirates for the hidden treasure.
Screenwriter Chun Seung-il of the first ‘The Pirates’ film will return once more for the sequel, which will be directed by Kin Jung-hoon.
‘The Pirates 2: Goblin Flag’ ‘will begin shooting in July.
