KBS News announed,’News 9’male anchor Choi Dong-seok will leave the news… Successor Park No-won

KBS revamps the news.

KBS announced on the 2nd, “We will replace the ‘KBS News 9’ male anchor from Choi Dong-seok to Park No-won.” The main female anchor is reporter Lee So-jung, and won’t be changed.

In the meantime, KBS explained, “Park made a breakthrough in various news programs. Lee Kyu-Bong, an announcer with over 20 years of broadcasting experience, will be the ‘News 7’ anchor, as a successor of Park No-won”

KBS also reported on several news program reorganizations and anchor replacements. 1TV starts on the 29th and 2TV starts on the 6th of the next month.

First, as already known, ‘KBS Newsline’ will be revived at 11:30 on weekdays, and reporter Lee Min-woo will be the presenter of the program. Lee joined in 1997, when he served as a correspondent for Berlin and the first director of news production.

Existing ‘KBS Economic Time’ will be expanded to ‘Integrated Newsroom ET’ (2TV, broadcast at 5:50 pm on Monday through Thursday), an economic program. The program aims to provide in-depth analysis of key economic issues, as well as information consumers need to pay attention to throughout their lives after the new Coronavirus Infectious Disease (COVID-19).

Reporter Lee Yun-hee, a woman in her 40s, was selected as the main anchor for the program. Since joining in 2001, Lee dealt with Social Affairs, Politics, and the Economic Affairs, and was responsible for various news programs such as ‘KBS 8 News Time’ and ‘News 12’ as well as ‘Sunday Broadcasting’. As a male anchor, Park Tae-won announcer was selected.

Reporter Park Chan-Hyung is responsible for KBS’s daily event program,’Case Event’ (1TV, weekdays at 4:00 PM, first broadcast on 22nd). Reporter Park is the’economy of KBS’, a representative KBS press headquarters that joined in 1995 and has long worked in the economic field.

In addition, KBS plans to expand KBS ‘News 2′(1TV, 2pm on weekdays) to 30 minutes to reinforce the existing afternoon news.
