The upcoming JTBC drama ‘Run On’ (Script by Park Si-hyun, directed by Lee Jae-hoon) is a romance drama in which people who live in different worlds, communicate and connect in their own language and go straight toward love, even though they speak the same Korean language and have difficulty communicating.
Im Siwan will be starring as Ki Sun-kyum, a popular short-distance track and field athlete of the national team who retires after a life-changing event. When he meets Shin Se-kyung’s character Oh Mi-joo, he opens his eyes to a new world he has never known as a runner. Oh Mi-joo also finds herself relying on Ki Sun-kyum, who fatefully appears in front of her.
For the first time, Im Siwan, who digested the process of turning anxiety into madness through the drama ‘Hell Is Other People’, and Shin Se-kyung, who showed off the power of the famous ‘Rocoo Queen’ through ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung’ work together. Both actors comeback in the home theater for over a year.
Through the TV and screens such as the drama ‘Tell Me What You Saw’ and the movie ‘Girl Cops’, Choi Soo-young, who secured her position as an actor by piling filmography gradually, and showcased unrivalled villain’s part through ‘The Tale Of Nokdu’. The combination of Kang Tae-oh, who left viewers with a strong presence on his previous works, is also interesting.
The production team said, “’Run On’ will portrait the story of two characters, who previously lived in completely different worlds, as they meet each other and grow, break the shell they had confined themselves to, and influence and love one another. I hope that the drama will provide viewers with some time to think about the language and method of communication through which we convey our sincere thoughts.”
Also, “Popular actors with both acting skills and presence, such as Im Si-wan, Shin Se-kyung, Choi Su-young, Kang Tae-oh and more will communicate with the viewers through this unique romance drama during the latter half of the year. We ask for your interest and anticipation.”
