Hyeon Jeong-hwa, a retired national table tennis team player, recalled Lee Bun-hee, a former North Korean table tennis player who was with her as a unified Korean team member.
KBS1’s ‘Morning Yard’ corner ‘Morning Yard Dream Challenge’, aired on the 22nd, was featured as a sports star, and appeared in the national teams by Park Chan-sook, Yeo Hong-cheol, Hyeon Jeong-hwa, Lee Bong-joo, and Shim Kwon-ho.
On that day, Hyeon Jeong-hwa revealed the longing for North Korea’s Lee Bun-hee, who met as a member of the unified Korean table tennis team member during the World Table Tennis Championships in 1991.
“30 years have passed, and I still remember that time,” she said. I have never seen her since the Games. At that time, I haven’t noticed that I cannot meet her again for a generation.”
