YG’s rookie TREASURE announced a successful debut by sweeping the top of major domestic record charts with their first debut album.

According to the Gaon Retail Album Chart and the Hanteo Album Chart (2020.08.10~2020.08.16), the 33rd week of 2020 (2020.08.09~2020.08.15) released on the 17th, Treasure’s first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE’ It was ranked first.

‘THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE’, released on the 13th, reached the top of the real-time charts in just one day in the album category on the Hanteo chart on the day of its release, and set the record for the highest sales volume among K-pop rookies who debuted this year. In addition, during the counting period, the Gaon chart showed 129,000 copies, and the Hanteo chart showed a surprising number of 128,000 copies.

TREASURE’s debut album has already exceeded 200,000 copies in pre-order before release, predicting such achievements. In particular, their albums are known to be active not only in Korea, but also in Japan and China, as well as overseas purchase requests in the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Not only albums, but also on overseas music charts, it made us realize the popularity of a group targeting the global market from the beginning. TREASURE’s title song ‘BOY’ took first place on the iTunes Top Song Chart in 19 countries including Hong Kong and Singapore right after the sound source was released on the 7th. In addition, it ranked first on the top five charts of QQ Music, China’s largest music site, and ranked No. 1 on the QQ Music Top Rising Chart within 24 hours after debut.

In particular, the group’s influence in Japan is noticeable. On the day of the release of the sound source,’BOY’ showed a surprising start by sweeping the top 100 real-time song charts of LINE Music, the largest music source site in Japan, the real-time general rankings of Rakuten Music, and the AWA rapid rise chart. Since then, it has been ranked first on the entire daily chart of Line Music for 3 consecutive days, and is also proving its steady popularity by ranking at the top of the Weekly Chart (2020.08.05~2020.08.11).

The music video for ‘BOY’ also exceeded 10 million views in about 26 hours after being released on YouTube, and 20 million views in about 6 days. The choreography video also quickly recorded 3 million views, showing an unusual move as a rookie. YouTube channel subscribers have also increased sharply since their debut, and are currently reaching 1.89 million.

Treasure is a large rookie group that YG introduced four years after Black Pink.
