Two super-luxurious apartments in Beijing owned by Hong Kong star Jackie Chan have been auctioned off.

Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported that two apartments in Dongcheng District, Beijing, where Jackie Chan lived with his family since 2007, have appeared at the auction. The auction price is 71.9 million yuan (about 12.4 billion won).

At the end of 2007, Jackie Chan received the apartment as a gift in exchange for an advertisement for an apartment builder, but it is known that there was a dispute over ownership after the construction company did not hand over the ownership to Jackie Chan.

The apartment is the site where Jackie Chan’s son, Bang Jo-myeong, was arrested in the public on charges of hiding more than 100 g of marijuana and inhaling it with Taiwanese actors.

According to Hong Kong media, the auction will start on the 28th of next month. Currently, it is known that more than 600 people have applied to participate in the auction.

Jackie Chan appeared on a Korean entertainment program a few years ago and explained that “half of the property has already been donated to the Foundation 15 years ago.”

Jackie Chan said, “After making hard money by filming a movie with the best of it. I plan to return all the money to society.”
