BTS ‘Dynamite’ is overwhelming… Ranked 1st in K-Pop Radar for 2 consecutive weeks

BTS is breaking the highest record in K-pop radar, again topped the weekly chart.

BTS’s new song ‘Dynamite’ music video added 120 million views on the K-Pop Radar 2020 Week 35 (August 23-August 29) chart, and ranked No. 1 in K-Pop Radar for 2 consecutive weeks.

BTS is continuing a new record march after their comeback. The music video for ‘Dynamite’ exceeded 100 million views in the shortest period, and then exceeded 200 million views in 4 days of release, again setting its own record high.

In response, K-Pop Radar said, “If this trend is continued, it will be possible to break through 300 million views within a week,” and said, “It will be possible to achieve 300 million views in the shortest period following 100 million and 200 million views in the shortest period.” The previous record of achieving 300 million views was ’21st,’ set by BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’, and attention is focused on what kind of new record BTS will set and surpass this record.

In addition, according to the YouTube data of BTS analyzed by K-Pop Radar, 41.6 million views, which account for 11% of the 382 million views aggregated by BTS, occurred in Indonesia over the past week. Following this, the Philippines, India, the United States, and Korea boasted popularity even in the United States and Southeast Asia with a proportion of 6-7%.

K-Pop Radar said, “BTS has been listed in the top 25 countries, which are rare in other artists, such as Russia, France, the UK, and Germany,” and explained, “The number of hits from around the world seems to be the driving force of this new record.”

In addition, in the weekly YouTube view chart of K-Pop Radar in the 35th week, BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ recorded a high number of views of 91.76 million views, taking second place after BTS. Subsequently, ATEEZ’s ‘THANXX’ recorded 30.7 million views, and Cravity’s ‘Flame’ recorded 12.78 million views, entering 3rd and 7th place respectively.

In addition to this, BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ (2,365 million views), BTS’s ‘Boy With Luv’ (14.19 million views), and BLACKPINK’s ‘Kill This Love (Kill This Love)’ (13.49 million views),’DDU-DU DDU-DU’ (10,71 million views), Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ (985 million views), ITZY’s ‘NOT SHY’ (8.6 million views) took the top 10 of the weekly K-pop radar.
