‘Alpinist – Confession of a cameraman’ won Jury Prize at the 68th Trento Film Festival

The movie ‘Alpinist – Confession of a cameraman’ won the Jury Award at the 68th Italian Trento Film Festival on the 2nd (local time).

On the 3rd, the jury of the film festival said, “It is a documentary that shows a very new, special and original perspective on climbing,” and “a tribute to all passionate mountaineers and cameramen.”

The film contains the stories behind the challenges of the late director Lim Il-jin and the people who participated in the four Himalayas expeditions from 2009 to 2013. Director Lim, a mountain filmmaker and mountaineer, died in 2018 after pioneering a new Himalayan route. He received a special award at the Trento Film Festival in 2008 for ‘The Wall’. The movie is scheduled to be released next month.
