Two contrasting images containing the intense aura of BLACKPINK’s index are released one after another, drawing attention.

YG Entertainment added a personal poster of BLACKPINK’s 1st album ‘THE ALBUM’ index on their official blog at 4 pm on the 22nd.

Jisoo in this poster exudes both innocent and provocative charm with a pale smokey makeup. Also, her messy hair and intense eyes reminded him of wandering youth.

It’s an atmosphere that contrasts with Jisoo’s brilliant visuals that fascinated global fans with her unconventional styling and red lip this morning. As a result, fans’ curiosity about the concept of BLACKPINK’s regular album grew even more.

BLACKPINK releases all the songs contained in the first full album ‘THE ALBUM’ after 4 years of debut on October 2. As it is aimed at the global market, the opening time is 0 o’clock in the US Eastern time and 1 PM on the same day in Korea.

Although the specific album information is still wrapped in a veil, BLACKPINK has raised the expectations of music fans with pre-release singles ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’. ‘How You Like That’ has made remarkable achievements, such as winning the MTV Video Music Awards in the United States and becoming the’Best Song of the Summer’ selected by YouTube.

In addition, ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez recorded 13th on the US Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart, breaking the highest ranking ever in a K-pop girl group.

In particular, these two songs added meaning in that they each showed the opposite charms of BLACKPINK. While ‘How You Like That’ featured the girl band’s unique girl crush and intense performance from hip-hop bass music, ‘Ice Cream’ was a pop genre song with a cute and refreshing concept they first tried.

The trend of pre-orders for the Black Pink regular album on the popular of the pre-release single is unusual. The first pre-order quantity of ‘THE ALBUM’ was counted as 800,000 copies in 6 days of pre-order. This is a combined figure about a month before the release of the album, and actual sales are expected to increase further.

BLACKPINK’s 1st regular album ‘THE ALBUM’ physical album will be released on October 6th at online and offline record stores nationwide. On October 14, the Netflix original documentary ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky’ will also be released.
