BLACKPINK Jennie showed off a poster with deep eyes that fall like a black hole.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, YG Entertainment added an additional poster of Jennie’s personal poster for BLACKPINK’s 1st album ‘THE ALBUM’ on the official blog. If the poster released earlier gave off a strong dreamy beauty, this time it presented a reversal charm with a sad atmosphere.
In the poster, Jennie gave a point with brown eye makeup and gold-tone bold accessories, especially her eyes that seem to contain the story. Her deep eyes overwhelming even the air created an intense yet faint mood, causing curiosity about the concept of the new song.
On the 22nd, BLACKPINK sequentially released two posters with opposite tones starting with Jisoo and Jennie. The pre-teaching poster alone has garnered enthusiastic response from global fans, and interest is also being drawn to the private teaser of Rosé and Lisa, who are still wrapped in veils.
BLACKPINK will release the entire song from their first full album ‘THE ALBUM’ after 4 years of debut on October 2nd. As it is aimed at the global market, the release time is 0 o’clock Eastern time in the US and 1 PM on the same day in Korea time.
BLACKPINK has increased its presence in the global music market by hitting the pre-release singles ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’ one after another.
‘How You Like That’ has made remarkable achievements, such as winning the MTV Video Music Awards in the United States and becoming the ‘Best Song of the Summer’ selected by YouTube. In addition, ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez ranked 13th on the US Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart, breaking the highest ranking ever in K-pop girl groups, and succeeded in chart-in for three consecutive weeks.
In particular, these two songs added meaning in that they each showed the opposite charms of BLACKPINK. The trend of pre-orders for the BLACKPINK regular album and great popularity of the pre-release single is not unusual. The first pre-order quantity of ‘THE ALBUM’ was counted as 800,000 copies in 6 days of pre-order.
BLACKPINKs 1st regular album ‘THE ALBUM’ physical album will be released on October 6th at online and offline record stores nationwide. On October 14, the Netflix original documentary ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky’ will also be released.
