Korea Communications Standards Commission decides ‘recommendation’ for indirect advertisements for ‘The Paik Father’ and ‘Delicious Rendezvous’

MBC’s entertainment program ‘The Paik Father: Don’t Stop Cooking!’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘The Paik Father’) and SBS entertainment program ‘Delicious Rendezvous’ received ‘recommendations’ from the  Korea Communications Standards Commission(KCSC).

KCSC held a meeting at the Broadcasting Center in Mok-dong, Seoul on the 22nd and made a decision to’recommend’ to ‘The Paik Father’ and ‘Delicious Rendezvous’, which gave inappropriate advertising effects for indirect advertising products.

‘The Paik Father’ highlights the scene of preparing food ingredients using the washing water function of a water purifier, which is an indirect advertisement product, and ‘Delicious Rendezvous’ is a problem that describes the features by repeatedly exposing ramen developed by indirect advertisers. Done.

KCSC said, “It violates the relevant deliberation regulations in that the advertising effect was given by exposing indirect advertising products regardless of the flow of viewing. We took into account the circumstances of the program.”

On the other hand, ‘recommendation’ is an ‘administrative guidance’ issued when the degree of violation of regulations related to broadcasting deliberation is minor.
