‘No Spectators’ Buil Film Awards postponed from 8th → 22nd [Official]

The 29th Buil Film Awards was scheduled for the 8th to be held on the 22nd. It is delayed due to the Covid-19.

The film festival announced this news by postponing the opening of this year’s event to the 21st. The Buil Film Awards held every year during the Busan International Film Festival is expected to be together with the Busan International Film Festival this year.

On the other hand, this year’s Boo-Il Film Award nominations were given to the films ‘The Man Standing Next’, ‘House of Hummingbird’, ‘Tune in for Love’, ‘Moonlit Winter’, and ‘LUCKY CHAN-SIL’. The nominees of the Best Director Award are director Kim Do-young of ‘KIM JI-YOUNG, BORN 1982’, director Woo Min-ho of ‘The Man Standing Next’, director Kim Bo-ra of ‘House of Hummingbird’, director Jung Ji-woo of ‘Tune in for Love’, and Lim Dae-hyung of ‘Moonlit Winter’.

Nominations for the Male and Female Leading Actor Awards are ”The Man Standing Next’ Lee Byung-hun, ‘DELIVER US FROM EVIL’ Lee Jung-jae, ‘DELIVER US FROM EVIL’ Hwang Jung-min, ‘BEASTS CLAWING AT STRAWS’ Jung Woo-sung, ‘Forbidden Dream’ Han Seok-gyu, ‘KIM JI-YOUNG, BORN 1982’ Jung Yu-mi, ‘Bring Me Home’ Lee Young-ae, ‘Baseball Girl’ Lee Joo-young, ‘Moonlit Winter’ Kim Hee-ae, and ‘BEASTS CLAWING AT STRAWS’ Jeon Do-yeon.

The awards ceremony, held at the BEXCO Auditorium in Busan, will be held without spectators to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and will be broadcast live through Busan MBC and Naver TV.
