I attended the first trial of comedians Kim Hyung-in (39) and Choi Jae-wook (38), who are accused of opening an illegal gambling site.

Kim Hyung-in and Choi Jae-wook are charged with setting up an illegal gambling room in an officetel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul in early 2018, and then creating a ‘hold’em’ game board similar to poker, arranging gambling with a stake of tens of millions of won and collecting fees. Kim Hyung-in is also accused of directly participating in illegal gambling. The police sent them to the prosecution in May with an opinion of prosecution, and the prosecutors handed over the two to trial in September.

The lawyers of Kim Hyung-in and Choi Jae-wook, who were present at the court before the trial that day, met with reporters and said that they were “denying” about the charges of the two. At the same time, he added, “We are currently investigating” the illegal gambling investor A, who sued for blackmail and blackmail.
