‘Awaken’ Kim Seol-hyun “First police role, I went to action school two months ago”

Singer and actor Kim Seol-hyun from group AOA mentioned what she prepared for ‘Awaken’.

On the afternoon of the 25th, the production presentation of tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama Awaken’ (screenplay Shin Yoo-dam, directing Kim Jeong-hyun) was held. Actor Nam-gung Min, Kim Seol-hyun (AOA Seol-hyun), Lee Cheong-ah, Yoon Sun-woo, and director Kim Jeong-hyun participated in this production presentation, which was broadcast live due to the spread of COVID-19.

Kim Seol-hyun played the role of ‘Gong Hye-won’, an avid policeman who does not choose any means or methods.

On this day, Kim Seol-hyun said, “I practiced while attending an action school two months before filming for acting as a police officer. I didn’t do any action during that time, but I mainly did an action like shooting a bow or using a sword, but this time I practiced a bare-handed action.”

She added, “I actually went to the police for the role of police and asked for advice.”

‘Awaken’ is a preliminary murder mystery that uncovers the secrets of a mysterious incident that took place in a village 28 years ago, which is related to the mystery events that take place now.

tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Awaken’ will be broadcast for the first time at 9 pm on Monday the 30th, following ‘Childcare Center’.
