‘Parasite’ was ranked first in the global popular search terms in the movie category compiled by Google in 2020.
Recently, Google unveiled a list of search terms of the year 2020, and the film’Parasite’ directed by Bong Joon-ho took the top spot in the global movie category.
It was followed by ‘1917’. Since then, ‘Black Panther’ has been occupied in 3rd place and ‘365’ in 4th place, respectively, ‘Container’ in 5th place and ‘Tenet’ in 6th place. The seventh place was ‘Enola Holmes’.
In addition, ‘Parasite’ also ranked first in the search term ranking in the domestic movie category by Google Korea. ‘Parasite’, which was released in May 2019 and recorded a cumulative audience of 10.31 million in Korea, is a work starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-gyun, Jo Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-sik, Park So-dam, Lee Jung-eun, and Jang Hye-jin.
For the first time in Korean films, he won the 92nd Academy Awards for Best Works, Directors, Screenplays, and International Feature Film Awards. He won the Golden Palm Award at the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival, the 77th Golden Globe Foreign Language Film Awards, and the 73rd British Academy Awards Screenplay Award and Foreign Language Film Awards.
