Group EVERGLOW has once again solidified its position as a next-generation K-pop player.

Everglow was released last September in’The 20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2020: Critics’ Picks’ announced by Billboard on the 23rd (local time). It won first place with the title song’LA DI DA’ of the first mini album ‘-77.82X-78.29’.

Billboard defines ‘LA DI DA’ as Everglow’s representative work, and ‘LA DI DA’ is a rap part where the tempo changes, the K-pop in the early 2010s that keeps hovering in the ear. K-pop’s unique killing parts, such as a melody reminiscent of pop, are melted. “Even less than two years since its debut, it was a group that released the greatest song of 2020, giving hope for the future of K-pop music.”

‘LA DI DA’ is a song that maximizes retro dance sensibility through a collaboration between up-tempo electro pop and retro genre. It contains a meaningful warning message to HATERs full of dissatisfaction in the present era, and the new vocal tone of the Everglow members adds to the fun of listening.

The music video for ‘LA DI DA’, as well as the high level of completion of the song, is gaining popularity, with not only exceeding 10 million views in a single day of release, but also surpassing 74 million views in cumulative views. In addition to this, ‘LA DI DA’ was selected in ‘The Songs and Albums That Defined K-Pop’s Monumental Year in 2020’ selected by TIME, USA. It is gaining worldwide favorable reviews as a ‘next-generation K-pop runner’ following ‘global trend’.
