Gugudan’s leader expressed her feelings about disbanding the team.

On the 31st, Hana posted a handwritten letter on the official fan cafe of Gugudan and said, “At the end of the year, we have a sudden news at the end of the year. I am really sorry and I am very sorry.”

“After this news became known, many people gave generous encouragement to the efforts and hardships that had been made. Of course, I could not only laugh every day, but I was able to dream bigger and I was happy because I had a good friend who served as a strong support for me. So I was worried about what kind of words to say hello with my heart. I wanted to support the situation that would have been more anxious than anyone, but I am sorry.”

She said, “Today was a day where the memories of the past could be felt as vividly as one by one. I am grateful for laughter, not sigh, as I think of my loved ones and best friends. It is very regretful that we cannot meet in person due to corona, but be careful with your health and hope to see you again.”

Earlier on the 30th, Gugudan’s agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, announced the dissolution of Gugudan, saying, “Gugudan, which has been eagerly running since its debut and has been loved a lot, will end its official group activities on December 31st.”

The agency said, “After a long, serious and in-depth discussion, we and the members of Gugudan made a final agreement to end the group activities. We will do our best without sparing anything.”
