A woman who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by actor Cho Jae-hyun gave up the appeal after losing the first instance, and the trial on Cho Jae-hyun’s ‘#Me_Too’ ended.

According to the legal community on the 26th, the lawsuit was closed because A, a woman who filed a lawsuit for damages of 300 million won by claiming to have been raped by Cho Jae-hyun, did not file an appeal.

Earlier, the 17th Division of the Civil Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court (Deputy Judge Lee Sang-ju) ruled against the plaintiff in a lawsuit for damages filed by A against Cho Jae-hyun on the 8th. A filed a lawsuit for damages of 300 million won in July 2018, saying, “I was sexually assaulted by Cho Jae-hyun in 2004 when I was 17 years old.” Afterwards, the court decided to compulsory mediation, but a formal trial proceeded with Cho Jae-hyun’s objection and objection. On the date of the first pleading, Cho Jae-hyun argued that “I admit that I met in the summer of the year the plaintiff claims, but deny the rest.”

After the trial, A did not file an appeal within two weeks, which is the appeal period under the Civil Procedure Act, and the ruling of the first trial was confirmed.

Meanwhile, Cho Jae-hyun stopped entertainment activities after being designated as a sexual offender during the ‘#Me_Too’ movement in 2018.
