‘Luca: The Beginning’ Lee Da-hee “I wanted to challenge the genre”

Actress Lee Da-hee revealed her feelings on ‘Luca’ appearance.

On the afternoon of the 27th, the production presentation of tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Luca: The Beginning’ was held. Director Kim Hong-sun, Kim Rae-won, Lee Da-hee, and Kim Seong-oh attended this production presentation, which was broadcast live online due to the Covid-19.

Lee Da-hee played the role of homicide detective ‘Goo-reum’, who was transferred from the Serious Crime Investigation Division while investigating the corruption of his boss.

She said, “I wanted to challenge the genre,” and said, “There was no reason not to do it because there was a director and a writer. Also, all the actors are really outstanding people.”

She added, “I did action acting before that. But this is the first time I’ve been acting in earnest. I was greedy. I think it will be fun to watch.”

‘Luca: The Beginning’ is a spectacle chase action drama in which Geo (played by Kim Rae-won), who is chased by the world because of his special ability, faces a huge conspiracy with homicide detective Goo-reum (played by Lee Da-hee) who remembers his appearance. This unconventional material based on Charles Darwin’s ‘Origin of Species’ opens a new horizon of genre that has never been experienced.

Director Kim Hong-seon, who has unfolded the world of unrivaled directing such as ‘Voice 1’and’Hands the Guest’, and writer Chun Seong-il, who has been loved through dramas and movies such as ‘The Slave Hunters’ and ‘Pirates’, and ‘Veteran’, ‘Berlin’, ‘The Thieves’, Cinematographer Choi Yeong-hwan, who is said to be the best in the Korean film industry, is expected to open up a new horizon of genre by working together.

tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Luca: The Beginning’ will be aired for the first time on Monday, February 1 at 9 PM.
