JYP Entertainment apologized as it was pointed out that the hanbok costumes presented by Twice Dahyun and Chaeyoung were similar to the BLACKPINK Jisoo costume.
On the 11th, JYP announced on the official website on the 11th, “In relation to the costumes of Da-hyun and Chae-young’s Melody Project, the Hanbok did not properly recognize the product or similarity purchased from a Hanbok manufacturer.
“We deeply apologized to the designer with an explanation of the situation. I will be more careful so that this will never happen again in the future.”
On the 10th, JYP posted a music video video covering TWICE’s Da-hyun and Chae-young’s collaboration song ‘Let’s Change to Me’ through the official YouTube channel.
In the music video, controversy arose when it was claimed that the Hanbok costume worn by Da-hyun and Chae-young was similar to the costume worn by BLACKPINK Jisoo in ‘How You Like That’.
The stylist who participated in the production of the black pink hanbok costume also pointed out the similarity by posting a post on social media such as “I cannot understand why my costume is there. I haven’t noticed that.”
