Lee Ja-yeon, chairman of the Korean Singer Association, visited the Korea Artists Welfare Foundation on the 17th and delivered a plaque of appreciation to CEO Hee-seop Jung for his efforts for the artist in the blind spot of the welfare system.
Chung Hee-seop was inaugurated as the representative of the Korean Artists Welfare Foundation in February 2018, and has made great efforts in both sides for economic and social support for artists.
To improve the working environment of artists, we operated a report and consultation counter through Shinmungo, and took the lead in disseminating and teaching standard contracts to establish a written contract system. In order to help artists escape from the blind spot of social security, the It has been making innovative attempts to promote the welfare of artists, such as implementing medical expenses and life stabilization fund support projects.
Chairman Lee Ja-yeon said, “Since I took office as the president of the Korean Singer Association, I first made the improvement of the rights and welfare of members as my main goal. We look forward to active mutual business exchange.”
Chairman Lee Ji-yeon and CEO Chung Hee-seop also promoted the system itself and sent a letter of cooperation to local governments so that more members can receive benefits at the association level to expand the artist’s employment insurance system in effect by the foundation.
