Former Anchor of ‘News Desk’ Park Sang-kwon moved to Samsung Electronics

Former anchorman Park Sang-kwon (50) of MBC’s ‘News Desk’ resigns to Samsung Electronics after leaving MBC.

According to the broadcaster on the 19th, former anchorman Park left MBC on the 10th of this month and moved to the Samsung Electronics Communication Room.

This is the second case of a former MBC anchor who moved to Samsung Electronics after In-Yong Lee (currently President of Samsung Electronics’ External Cooperation) in 2005. Former anchorman Lee In-yong received a love call from Samsung Group while serving as deputy director of the Press Bureau and moved to communications executive (team leader).

Former anchorman Park, from Seoul National University’s Department of Media and Information Studies, joined the press bureau as an MBC reporter in 1997 and was selected as an anchor in 2007 to conduct MBC ‘News Today’ for 4 years.

After that, he worked as an anchor for the ‘News Desk’ from November 2013 to February 2016 after serving as a correspondent in Paris in 2011. In December 2017, he was appointed to the New Media News Bureau and served as Mabongchun Media Lab Director.
