Group SHINee made a comeback after 2 years and 6 months with the new song “Don’t Call Me,” which producer Lee Soo-man loved.

SHINee (Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin) held an online press conference to commemorate the release of their regular 7th album ‘Don’t Call Me’ through the YouTube channel at 2 pm on the 22nd, and released a new song. SHINee’s complete comeback has been about 2 years and 6 months after the 6th regular album activity in 2018. In the meantime, SHINee had a military white flag while meek, tall, and Minho fulfilled their duty of defense.

On this day, Onew said, “Shiny is making a comeback after two years and six months. As Onew, there was a period of hiatus as a military rest, but since I prepared the album because I was a lot concerned about what kind of image I would show, please look forward to it.

Taemin said, “I’m greeting you with SHINee after a long time. As it is the 7th regular album, I tried to contain a lot of new images.” Minho said, “It is an album that contains a lot of SHINee’s colors, so please look forward to it.

“It’s been a long time since I left the army and said hello with an album. I thought a lot about how to make a good album. The day I’ve been waiting for has come. As always, we will be faithful and faithful. I will greet you using various non-face-to-face promotions according to the current situation.”

The title song ‘Don’t Cole Me’ with the same name as the album name is a hip-hop dance song with lyrics that warns the protagonist who was betrayed by love not to call the other person, and the vocals of the members expressing hysterical emotions add to the immersion of the song.

Key introduced ‘Don’t Cole Me’ as “a hip-hop bass song, with strong lyrics,” and said, “We’ve been strong songs, but we didn’t do hysterical songs well. I tried to style unstructured style with musical change.”

In response, Minho said, “I think I’ve done everything I didn’t do in this album. I wore a long wig and dyed it red, just like when I was in ‘Ring Ding Dong’ and ‘Lucifer’. Even in the case of styling, we tried to express a part that was different from the feeling we were wearing. After trying a lot of new things, I thought, ‘Is it okay?’ But as a result, I am satisfied.”

When asked why ‘Don’t Call Me’ was chosen as the title song, Key said, “Before the ‘Don’t Call Me’ passed to us from the SM Treasure Box, it was hidden. Before that, there were many funky and light pop candidates, but the song was so good, but if it felt like it was connected to us before, it seemed like a heavy hook came in when ‘Don’t Call Me’ appeared.”

The performance was also said to be of the highest level. Taemin said, “You will be able to see the darkened SHINee with an intense and strong concept. When I first saw the choreography, I thought it was the best in history because there were so many movements, but later, I made a lot of preparations by making a lot of corrections with shiny colors. It is a song that has been prepared a lot in the past,” raising expectations.

Before the comeback after a long time, PD Lee Soo-man also said that he helped a lot. Minho said, “’Don’t Call Me’ is a favorite song by PD Lee Soo-man, and was also one of BoA’s title song candidates. As it is a favorite song, I paid attention to the color correction of the music video one by one. When we decided ‘Don’t Call Me’ as the title song, we are grateful for raising our hands and doing good production.”

Lastly, Taemin said, “It is an album that I prepared hard and the members were satisfied with. I hope you will listen to it as it is a generously poured album. I would like to receive 5 stars for music review.” In addition, Key ended the press conference by conveying his wish, “It took a long time for the album to come out, but I want to show you that ‘we can still do well.'”

Meanwhile, SHINee’s 7th regular album ‘Don’t Call Me’ will be released at 6 pm on the same day.
