‘Soul’, as expected, was honored with an anime award [2021 Golden Globe]

Disney Pixar’s animation ‘Soul’ held the Golden Globe’s trophy in his arms.

‘Soul’ won the Feature Animation Award at the 78th Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, USA on the 28th (local time).

‘Soul’ is a movie about a special adventure in which ‘Joe’, who became a soul due to an unexpected accident, and ’22’, a soul who does not want to go to earth, go together. Even with the spread of COVID-19, it received great love by mobilizing over 1.8 million audiences to the domestic theater district.

On this day, the Golden Globe Awards were broadcast live online in the aftermath of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the movie ‘Minari’ (director Lee Issac Chung), which has been receiving hot attention even before its release in Korea, was nominated for the Foreign Language Film Awards, raising expectations for the award. Previously, director Bong Joon-ho’s film ‘Parasite’ also won the Foreign Language Film Award at this awards ceremony.

‘Minari’, which has been nominated for foreign language film awards such as ‘Another Round’ in Denmark and ‘The Life Ahead’ in Italy, has already won 74 awards at many overseas awards ceremonies and is lighting a green light for admission to the Academy (Oscar). It will be released in Korea on the 3rd.
