Singer Yoon Do-hyun has been bitter about allegations of speculation on the planned site of the third new city by some employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
Yoon Do-hyun said on his Instagram on the 12th, “I was confused because the gap seemed to have grown uncontrollably in Seoul’s housing prices, which rose too much, but it was nothing.” It’s a world where people who work hard, get paid, save money, and dream of the future become fools. “I think I’m living in a world where we can’t avoid speculation.
“I hope a thorough investigation will be conducted into the alleged speculation of LH officials, which has given deprivation to the people who are living such a hard life.” It is said that speculation by public officials is not happening today, but it is too much in this difficult time.
The government previously selected Gwangmyeong Siheung District as the sixth new city on the 24th of last month. Since then, a group of lawyers for the People’s Solidarity for Participatory Democracy held a press conference on the 2nd and raised speculation allegations that about 10 LH employees bought land in the new Gwangmyeong and Siheung cities, which were announced as new public housing sites last month.
In response to public uproar, the government’s joint investigation team conducted a full investigation into 14,000 people, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and LH executives and announced the results of the first investigation on the 11th.
However, a total of 20 people were confirmed to be suspected of speculation, with the exception of 13 people identified by the Civil Defense and the People’s Solidarity for Participatory Democracy as suspected cases, only seven were identified by the government’s investigations. The government plans to conduct a second investigation by expanding the scope of the investigation.
Yoon Do-hyun, who made his debut in 1994, gained huge popularity through his band activities, including “I’ll Forget,” “I Send You,” “Love Two,” “Pakha Candy” and “I Must Have Loved You.” Yoon also hosted KBS2’s entertainment show “Trot National Sports Festival,” which recently ended.
