BLACKPINK Rosé is attracting attention as it is gaining explosive popularity in China as it swept various global charts with her debut solo album.

Rosé’s first solo single ‘R’ is ranked #1 on the 3rd day on the QQ Music digital album sales chart, China’s largest music site, on the 15th.

The album title song ‘On The Ground’ all topped the charts for new songs, rapid rise, trend index, and music video, and Rosé dominated QQ Music’s 5 major charts. In addition, Rosé’s 1st single album ‘R’ in China’s other major music sites such as Cougar Music and Cougar Music is on a very popular streak.

In particular, even though the song was released on the 12th, Rosé’s solo single album and title song ‘On The Ground’ showed an overwhelming presence not only on the daily chart but also on the weekly chart at once.

Actual digital album sales trend is scary. According to YG Entertainment, Rosé’s solo single, ‘R’, has currently sold over 1.1 million copies at QQ Music.

K-pop artists’ general digital album sales exceed 1 million copies (based on QQ Music in China), which is about twice as fast. This is the main point that you can guess at the same time as Black Pink’s popularity in China and Rosé’s solo power.

Rosé’s title song ‘On The Ground’ is a song containing the lyrics of ‘I always ran looking at a higher place, but the important value is in me’.

On the first day of its release, this song climbed to the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart in 51 countries and reached the top of the worldwide charts. In addition, after entering the 8th place in the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify Global Top 50 chart, it has settled in the top 10.

Spotify’s 24-hour streaming count was the highest ever for Korean solo artists, and the music video for ‘On The Ground’ topped the list of the most watched videos on YouTube.

On the 16th (U.S. local time), Rosé will appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and take a full-fledged global move.
