Actor Park In-hwan revealed his feelings about the ballet challenge.
On the afternoon of the 16th, a production presentation of tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Navillera’ (written by Lee Eun-mi, directed by Han Dong-hwa) was held. Due to the COVID-19, this production presentation, which was broadcast live online, was attended by director Park In-hwan, Song Kang, Na Moon-hee, Hong Seung-hee, and Han Dong-hwa.
Park In-hwan plays Deok-chul, a retired postman who brings out the ballet dream he had stored deep in his heart at the end of his life.
Park In-Hwan said, “Ballet was really harder than I thought. It wasn’t a few months. I practiced twice a week before filming, but it was really hard. I wasn’t flexible, so it was difficult. I wondered if it was impossible to do ballet because I was old. I thought that the meaning of the challenge is more important than that.”
He also added, “When I wear a ballet suit, it sticks so much that I am embarrassed. After doing it little by little, I got used to it,” he added.
‘Navillera’ is a youth record drama that depicts the growth of ‘Deok-chul’ (Park In-hwan), who started ballet at the age of seventy, and ‘Chae-rok’ (Song Kang), a ballerino wandering in front of a twenty-three dream. It is based on the webtoon ‘Navillera’ (HUN, Jimin).
Director Han Dong-hwa, who directed ‘Squad 38’ and ‘Miss Lee’, and Lee Eun-mi, who left a strong impression with ‘Tunnel’, joined forces.
tvN’s new Monday and Tuesday drama ‘Navillera’ will be aired for the first time at 9 pm on Monday the 22nd.
