Director Choi Kyung-hyun, who has won numerous awards at overseas film festivals for his short film ‘Parallel Lines’, begins to produce a feature film.
Director Choi Kyung-hyun started working on a feature film of ‘Parallel Lines’ with author Kim Hwang-seong of the movie ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7′ and The Age of Blood’.
In the short film ‘Parallel Lines’, we talked about the importance and love of family members, but the new movie opens the door to the development of the content in the hopes of love and happiness without any worry and worries. Each individual’s method, behavior, and thoughts are different from each other, creating a conflict of interest and struggling to form a cinematic narrative.
The beginning of the story is that they are not faithful to the family that must be happy, and in life, they dream of vain dreams with a firm determination of herbal medicine, but the result always fails.
However, the father who believes he will be responsible for his family and will be happy with it, the mother of the end of selfishness who lives life without thinking with an appearance that only he does not know, and the day when I can’t lose to others is always a new beginning. The story of a living daughter’s conflict and struggling depicts calm laughter and emotions.
The short film ‘Parallel Lines’ won a merit award at the ‘Echolade Global Film Competition’ in the U.S. in 2020, and then entered the competition section of the Cannes Short Film Festival. In addition, it was exhibited in the ‘Open Window International Film Challenge’ Drama Division Grand Prize, the ‘Point of View Indie Film Award’ Drama Division Grand Prize, New York Film Festival Competition, and The Hollywood Showcase Competition, leading a favorable response from critics.
The movie ‘Parallel Lines’ (tentative title) is aiming for crank-in in the second half of this year.
