Yoo Jae-myung, Han Ye-ri, and Um Tae-gu have confirmed their appearances in OCN’s expected second half of the year’s “Home Town,” heralding the birth of the greatest mystery thriller of all time.

OCN’s New Saturday Original “Home Town” (directed by Park Hyun-suk/written by Joo Jin/produced studio Dragon, C-Jes Entertainment), which will be broadcast in the second half of 2021, said on the 25th, “We finalized the casting of Yoo Jae-myung, Han Ye-ri and Um Tae-gu.” “Home Town” is “Cho Jung-hyun” who has to find a detective “Choi Hyung-in” and a nephew who is missing after a bizarre murder in a small town in the province in 1999. It is a mystery thriller in which the two men dig up the secrets of the incident against the worst terrorist Cho Kyung-ho. Director Park Hyun-seok, who directed “Secret Forest 2,” is taking the megaphone and looking forward to the birth of a well-made authentic thriller that will continue the popularity of OCN, a famous genre artist.

At the same time, expectations are rising further with the addition of Chungmuro acting actors Yoo Jae-myung, Han Ye-ri and Um Tae-gu, who are highly supported by both critics and audiences.

First, Yoo Jae-myung plays Choi Hyung-in, a violent crime detective who lost his wife in a brutal terrorist crime. Choi Hyung-in is in charge of a murder case after living as a ghost for more than 10 years due to the guilt of letting his wife die, and suspects that the incident involved a terrorist and his family 10 years ago. Yoo Jae-myung has solidified his reputation as an actor who believes and sees in dramas such as “Secret Forest,” “Life,” “Confession,” and “I Tae-won Class.” As the main speaker who leads the drama in ‘Home Town’, it is expected that he will show his highly immersed performance.

Han Ye-ri plays the role of Cho Jung-hyun, who lives through the social stigma of being a family of terrorists. Cho Jung-hyun, who ironically reconstructed her life through her nephew Cho Jae-young, is a person who faces tragedy again when her nephew, who he cherishes like her life, disappears. Then, Han Ye-ri’s performance in “Home Town” draws attention. Han Ye-ri, who recently received attention from the world including the Academy through her recent film “Minari,” which drew attention from the world through the drama “Six Flying Dragons,” “Youth Age 1, 2,” “Green Bean Flower,” and “Unfamiliar, but family” raises expectations.

Um Tae-gu plays Cho Kyung-ho, a mysterious life imprisoner who committed the worst indiscriminate terrorist attack ever. In 1989, as soon as he returned from studying in Japan, he was sentenced to life in prison for committing a terrible indiscriminate attack by spraying sarin gas called salga gas at a train station in his hometown. Meanwhile, as Um Tae-gu, who has shown off his unique aura and unique acting skills in the films ‘Secret Jung’, ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘China Town’ and ‘Save Me 2’, it is expected that he will become one of the most tension evaders through the veiled character ‘Cho Kyung-ho’.

In response, “Home Town” said, “The casting of actors Yoo Jae-myung, Han Ye-ri, and Um Tae-gu is reassuring. A genre with unrivaled immersion and chewy thrill will be born. Please look forward to it.

Meanwhile, OCN’s new Saturday and Sunday original ‘Home Town’ will be aired for the first time in the second half of 2021.
