Red Velvet’s group Wendy expressed her overwhelming feelings for her solo debut after 7 years of debut.

On the afternoon of the 5th, an online press conference was held to commemorate the release of Wendy’s first solo album ‘Like Water’.

Wendy, who makes her solo debut 7 years after her debut, said, “Honestly, when I first heard it, I couldn’t believe it.” She said, “I’m still trembling, but fortunately Joy is next to me, so I feel less nervous.”

Wendy added, “I have a greater sense of responsibility and did my best to listen to the music that melted my voice and emotion,” and added, “I’m curious how you will listen to it.”

The title track ‘Like Water’ is an acoustic pop ballad that stands out with Wendy’s pure vocals. It compares each other’s existence and meaning to ‘water’ and conveys the content that small raindrops form the sea, flowing like fate to each other.

Another title song ‘When This Rain Stops’ is a slow-tempo ballad that combines piano performance and dynamic vocals. The lyrics depicting Wendy’s autobiographical story convey a message of sympathy and consolation that ‘sometimes it’s okay to take a break from life’ when we’re tired of life.

In this album, a duet song ‘Best Friend’ sung by Seulgi, a Red Velvet member and friend of the same age, is a medium-tempo R&B pop song ‘Why Can’t You Love Me?’, a modern rock ballad that depicts the moment when memories suddenly forgotten on the first walk, ‘The Road’, are included. The album will be released through the online music site at 6 pm on this day.
