Claudia Villafañe (59), the ex-wife of the late Argentine soccer star Diego Maradona, announces Korean food around the world.

The Korean Cultural Center in Argentina said on the 20th, “Claudia Villafañe will serve as a goodwill ambassador for Korean food.”

Villafañe won the K-Food Master Competition at the 7th Buenos Aires Korean Food Festival held on the 16th. At that time, he was honored to receive the most votes for his mission to make mung bean pancake with kimchi.

“It’s amazing,” said Villafañe, who tasted bindaetteok after cooking. “I want to continue learning Korean food.”

Villafañe is a culinary talent who won the first season of the cooking contest program “Master Chef Celebrity Argentina,” which aired in Argentina earlier this year.

Maradona, an Argentine football hero, suddenly died of a heart attack while recovering from brain surgery at home in November last year. He was 60 years old at the time.

Villafañe married Maradona from 1989 to 2003 and had two daughters.

Villafañe will serve as a “Korean Food Ambassador” in Argentina this year and participate in the cultural center’s Korean food event.
